328: A FRENCH DIRECTOIRE STYLE BRONZE MOUNTED STAND

A late 19th century French Directoire style marble and fruitwood stand, the pierced brass galleried hexagonal top inset with highly figured rouge and gray marble on gilt-mounted rinceaux hexagonal frieze, raised on four cylindrical segmented legs enclosing fleur d'asperges chandelles ending in tapering splayed feet and joined by a shaped quadripartite stretcher with urn finial. Measures 33 x 14.5 inches. Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
Good condition noting that the long legs with various fittings have loosened with age which allows the legs to become uneven though easily returned to correct position. No damage or repair.
