354: A 19TH C. CHINESE CARVED ROSEWOOD DISPLAY CABINET

Dating to the third quarter of the 19th century, in two parts, of rectangular multitiered construction, surmounted by large arched openwork pediment with two figures in landscape and further surmounted by reticulated crest of blossoming vines, the upper portion of the cabinet with tiered quadrilateral shelves of varying height and size, each framed by openwork borders depicting flowering prunus; lower portion with two open compartments on the right side and an enclosed pair of hinged paneled doors on left side with carved floral branches and brass pulls, all above a carved scrolling apron and raised on ball and claw feet. Measures 88 x 39 x 15.5 inches. Provenance: The Joseph Candioto Trust. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
Good sturdy condition overall, six missing openwork carved galleries from the back side of the configuration, otherwise good and original.
