89: ADOLFO CARLO BARONE (1861 - 1936) OIL ON CANVAS

An oil on canvas signed A. Barone lower right for Adolfo Carlo Barone, a view of Piazza del Gesu Nuovo, Naples, the canvas measures 29 x 23.5 and the frame 35.25 x 29 inches. Displayed in a good early 20th century gilded frame with custom carved corners.
Provenance: Acquired through Henry Ruth Fine Arts, Kansas City.

Professionally restored, relined. Examination under UV light confirms a very thin repaired 6-inch tear lower left near the wheel of the cart, two other very small touches right side.
