98: A FINE 19C. PAINTED PORCELAIN DEPICTION OF HYGEIA

A fine oval painted porcelain plaque depicting a seated semi-nude classical maiden holding an asp, presumably the goddess of health Hygeia against dark green drapery with a basket of fruit(?) to her right below a light blue pillow. The finely executed painting is unsigned and the plaque is unmarked. Plaque measures 5-5/8 x 4-1/4 inches, frame 10 x 8-1/2 inches.
We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
Very good condition free from damage, repair, scratches, rubs or wear. The back side has heavy glue residue over the whole un-glazed back.
