164: AN ENGLISH ADAM STYLE GILTWOOD BRACKETED MIRROR

Circa late 19th to early 20th century. the oval plate mirror within a beaded laurel carved gilt wood frame flanked by reeded posts interrupted by a carved roundel each supported by figural putto, surmounted by an urn finial issuing husk garland swags supported by swans; shaped plinth bracket supporting urn issuing pair of scrolling foliate candle arms terminating in cups, inverted palmette pendant terminal on the frame bottom. Measures 57 x 34.5 x 7 inches.

One socket has been burned approximately one-half way down the cup. Otherwise the condition is very good and free from damage, repair or wear, retains the gold finish.
