299: A POSCHINGER ART NOUVEAU VASE WITH ENAMEL DECOR

A Jack-in-the-Pulpit form vase with applied handles; attributed to Ferdinand von Poschinger, Buchenau; the deep amethyst colored glass body decorated with white rippling enamels at the base simulating water issuing stems with large leaves and rising tendrils with buds, a central stem rising to the flaring mouth with rolled and folded glass decorated as an open blossom. Signed N.41 in white enamel on the polished pontil. Measures 8.75 x 4 inches.

Thin flakes under the flat polished base, there are no other chips, no cracks or repairs or heavy wear.
