Fame' After Hyacinth Phileas Sobre (French, 1826-1902) with horn in one hand and a (broken) torch raised in the other standing tiptoed on figural putti face in clouds atop a cylindrical bronze frieze of reliefs of putti in various pursuits of the Arts. Marked Sobre. Height 31 inches.

The original pinned joint joining the upraised arm is loosened but still in place, the torch in her opposite hand is broken.
