92: THOMAS HART BENTON (1889-1975) PENCIL SIGNED OFFSET

Titled 'Homecoming - Kaw Valley 1951' in the plate lower left, signed lower right. According to 'The Lithographs of Thomas Hart Benton' by Creekmore Fath, Benton created a special edition of this print for the members of the U.S. Congress in 1951. The image also appeared on the cover of 'New Republic,' November 19, 1951, to illustrate Benton's article entitled 'Disaster on the Kaw.' Image measures 11.5 x 15, sheet measures 13.75 x 17, frame measures 18 x 20.25 inches. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
Toning and mat burn, the print is laid down on old chipboard backing. There are no other areas or issues of damage, repair, wear, punctures or repair.
