96: DANIEL BRENNAN (1929-1989) OIL ON CANVAS

Signed lower right and dated 73, no frame, canvas measures 59 x 35.5 inches. Provenance: from the personal collection of Sidney and Anne Lawrence who moved to Kansas City from New York in 1946. Sydney Lawrence taught art history at New York University and operated a gallery there. In 1949 they opened Lawrence Gallery at 43rd and Main where they exhibited American and European contemporary paintings, drawings, original prints, sculpture and ceramics. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
Craquelure and paint losses along the edges, apparently caused by a previous frame.
