A watercolor of unique style and representation, this work is signed 'Flood' lower right and dated 15 July 1942.
In her exhaustive tome on Kansas artists, University of Kansas librarian Susan Craig lists a female artist named Lelia Flood who can be found in Kansas City directories from 1906 to at least 1942. This work is attributed to that artist and is displayed with a sight size of 12.5 x 17.5 inches, the work is mounted to cardboard size 16.75 x 13 inches, frame size is 21 x 26 inches. We ship in-house for all items with the exception of very large and or very fragile pieces and some international shipments.
The original watercolor paper is mounted to Crescent illustration board , there are no areas of damage, repair, wear, punctures or repair. The work may be very lightly and evenly toned overall but free from noticeable areas of stain.
