309: A 19TH C. LUSTRE GLAZE EARTHENWARE ALHAMBRA VASE

A 19th century version of the 14th century vessels found in and around the Alhambra palace in Granada, Spain from the period of Muslim rule. This being a nice quality 14.5 inch vase with flared mouth over a tapering paneled neck on tapering body with wing-like handles; decorated in coppery lustre glaze with blue designs of gazelles, arabesques and calligraphy.
Very good condition, there are no chips, cracks or repairs.
