115: A 19TH CENTURY TELESCOPE SIGNED C.A. SAXE, PHILA

Dark brown leather covered brass body, objective barrel marked 'C.A. Saxe, Phila.,' measures 26 inches overall. Appears to have a museum accession number B-304 tipped on leather near eyepiece and remnant handwritten description, appears to point to a Capt. Alexander Russe, Sea Lion, Nantucket.

We happily provide seamless in-house packing and shipping services on nearly everything we sell.
Eyepiece barrel loose from barrel. Optics a bit cloudy and inexact owing to looseness of the eyepiece in its socket.
