236: A GOOD STAUNTON CHESS SET CIRCA 1910

A 32-piece set comprised of carved ebony and boxwood pieces, each one internally weighted for good substantial feel in the hand, nice quality and finish, contained in what appears to be the original maple box with corner dovetail construction and sliding lid. The king measures 3 x 1.25 inches. The dovetailed box measures 3.25 x 8 x 4.5 inches.
