45: A 19TH C. GERMAN FOUR LITER ENAMELED PEWTER STEIN

An unusual hunting theme master stein, cold painted stag on rocky crag finial, an oak branch wreath with cartouche on the pewter lid, acorn finial thumblift. Hand painted scroll against red sash and oak branches with motto 'Hie guy deutsch Jagdwerk allewege!' roughly translated as 'Hie guy german hunt all the way', no markings were found. Measures 24.25 inches high.
