A rare American-made table-top model circa 1870's, canted sides each with ground glass light diffusing lenses, invented by professor J. W. Cadwell, "the well-known Mesmerizer and Psychologist who will give one of his Wonderful and Amusing entertainments in this place soon. See hand bills." reads one of the two original paper labels inside the mahogany case, holds 100 views in the 50 wire holders. Very good original condition. Measures 16.5 8.5 x 13.5 inches overall.
