An antique iron strong box with decorative paneled sides, hinged lid and end handles, resting on a custom stainless steel stand. Cast signature of Carron and N. 126. The Carron Iron Works established in 1759 was one of the largest iron works in Europe through the 19th century. Measures 18.5 x 24.75 x 16.75 inches.
