73: EARLY 20TH C. FRENCH ORMOLU MOUNTED VANITY PIECES

A clear glass cylindrical bodied bottle with an elaborately decorated gilt overlay of putti caryatid pilasters terminating in a hoofed foot dividing pastoral scenes of a shepherd flanked by goats amongst oak leaves, flat crystal stopper. Plus an Art Nouveau motif ormolu mounted jar of cylindrical body with tapering foot and high shoulder sparsely decorated with stylized gilt scrolls, acanthus leaves, and flowering poppy, gilt-trimmed hinged lid and handle with stylized scrolling vine and poppies. Measure 6.25 x 3 inches and 4.75 x 4.75 inches plus swivel handle.
Each in very good original condition free from damage, repair, wear, oxidation or discoloration or etching to the glass portion of either.
