A circular gilt metal box, the hinged cover centering a hand painted portrait miniature signed Dozier depicting a blond beauty in 18th century dress, encompassed by a chain of anthemion with vines on a diaper ground, body with engine turned bands of alternating grapes and leaves intertwined by a vine and flanked by bands of foliate, opening to reveal the original embroidered interior with roses. Measures 1.5 x 3.75 inches.
Very good condition throughout. There are no issues of damage, repair, wear or instability.
