131: A 19TH C. FRENCH EMBOSSED BRASS JARDINIÈRE

An elaborate French jardinière, elliptical serpentine shape with embossed designs of stylized scrolling vine under beading and terminating in serpentine lip of cabochon and scrolls with fleur-des-lis each end, the body flanked by hanging handles, raised on four openwork scrolling feet. Retains the original zinc insert, great patina. Measures 7.5 x 7.5 x 14.5 inches.
There are tears in the brass just above on foot. Very good otherwise with no other damage or repair.
