136: A 19TH CENTURY FRENCH PEWTER HERALDIC PLATTER

A heraldic pewter platter of elliptical form with flat undulating rim etched with flowers and foliate centering a middle well with raised heraldic design of two shields surmounted by a crown, flanked by rampant lions, one winged; the whole over a ribbon banner reading Turris Fortitudo Mea 'A Tower of Strength'. Measures 10.5 x 15.25 inches.
