231: AFTER JOHANN HEINRICH DANNECKER (1758-1841)

A late 19th to early 20th century bronze sculpture of Ariadne and the Panther displayed on a rotating marble plinth over a conforming bronze acanthus platform on marble base, after the life-sized version sculpted from marble in the early 19th century. This measures 16 x 12 x 6 inches.
Very good original condition. Light wear to some more pronounced areas, minor flakes at the corners of the marble base, chip along the bottom edge of one end.
