242: A HIGHLY CARVED CHIPPENDALE LEG MAHOGANY BENCH

A nice quality circa 1900 hall bench, the arched and carved crests each centering an Ionic capital and overflowing carved foliate above vasi-form backs with carved rosettes and foliate on a stapled ground flanked by foliate carved stiles, over a rectangular upholstered bench seat, within serpentine armrests, on foliate carved cabriole legs ending in claw and ball feet, joined by a serpentine carved skirt centering a shell. Measures approximately 44 x 52 x 22 inches.
Very good clean sturdy condition free from issues of any type.
