38: A RARE STACK BOOKCASE WITH CUBBY BETWEEN LEADED GL

A rare circa 1900 Globe-Wernicke Co. ribbon-stripe mahogany stacking bookcase with three bookshelves, rare top shelf with two leaded glass doors and cubby, step-out base with drawer. All original finish, tags and brass hardware, with dentil molding over reeded columns. Each shelf stack includes original beveled glass door with rare original factory locks, bottom stack has large drawer bounded by applied carving. Measures 58.25 x 35.5 x 14.5 inches. Some alligatoring on finish and few scratches, minor dents on outside hardware, otherwise very good original condition.
