15: WILLIAM H. JACKSON (1843- 1942) DENVER & RIO GRAND

The Royal Gorge, Colorado, a mounted 'photochrom' colored photographic print circa 1901 published by the Detroit Photographic Co with whom William H. Jackson was closely tied beginning in 1897, becoming manager of their operations in 1903. Titled on the mount SCENES ALONG THE LINE OF THE RIO GRANDE, the railroad logo printed on the mount lower left. Lettered in gold on the image itself on the lower right is 'COPYRIGHT 1901 DETROIT PHOTOGRAPHIC CO'. The mounted image measures 21.25 x 17, framed to 35.5 x 31.5 inches overall.
