137: A GOOD LATE 19TH C. SEVRES POTPOURRI SIGNED COLLOT

A fine late 19th century pot-pourri with cover and Sevres Chateau De Longpre mark. A bronze acanthus bid finial on cobalt ground domed lid with oval reserves of air borne cherubs hand painted and signed Collot. The base with ormolu handles, a gold decorated cobalt band over the bulbous portion of the body with multicolored floral band on white; raised on cobalt blue porcelain socle on bronze foot. Stamped marking FRANCE under the base, artist signed on the cover, decal mark of Chateau De Longpre Manufacture Francaise inside the lid, hand painted 'France' in blue lettering.
