The two-handled vessel for wine and or ritual, circa 4th century B.C., is decorated with palmettes on a four lobed device inside the bowl.
Measures 3.5 x 7 x 4.5 inches.
Very good condition. There are no major chips, cracks or repairs.
Provenance: The estate of Morton and Estelle Sosland.In Kansas City, the Sosland family name is synonymous with both giving, and the arts. Of their many contributions to the community, 'The Soslands gave one of the nation's finest private collections of American Indian art to the Nelson-Atkins' museum (nelson-atkins.org).
