470: NINE-PATCH AND EIGHT-POINT STARS QUILTS

Two quilts include:.

1. Twenty nine-patch blocks set on point with sprigged background fabric and border, hand quilted, muslin backing.

2. Seventy-two eight-point star blocks set in blue sashing with red cornerstones, high loft, hand quilted, muslin backing.
Measure 77 x 66 and 81 x 67 inches.
Good condition noting a patched repair on the front of the nine-patch.
Provenance: The estate of Morton and Estelle Sosland.In Kansas City, the Sosland family name is synonymous with both giving, and the arts.
