551: AN ART DECO REVERSE PAINTED GLASS SATURN LAMP C. 1939

The light green glass orb with flat frosted outer ring and reverse painted interior is mounted on a clear frosted glass conical base of concentric rings. The design was originally created for the 1939 World's Fair in Flushing New York by L.J. Houze Convex Glass Co.
Measures 11.5 x 5.5 x 7.5 inches.
Very good condition, noting two chips on the outside of the base, chips inside rim of the upper shade that are not visible when the lamp is assembled, wear to the reverse painting inside the top shade.
