552: AN ART DECO REVERSE PAINTED GLASS SATURN LAMP C. 1939

The green glass orb with flat frosted outer ring and reverse painted interior is mounted on a matching frosted glass conical base of concentric rings. The design was originally created for the 1939 World's Fair in Flushing New York by L.J. Houze Convex Glass Co.
Measures 11.5 x 5.5 x 7.5 inches.
Very good condition. One small chip on the inside rim of the lower shade is not visible when the lamp is assembled. Light works with some prompting of the socket, needs rewiring. There are no other chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear.
