The 18 karat gold hunting case watch with side buttons for the seconds chronograph function and repeater function is stamped Orient Chronographe, répétition minutes silencieuse, French that translates to 'Orient Chronograph, minute repeater with silent function' on the dust cover, the Swiss Helvetia hallmark for 18 karat gold is found in various places. Measures 50mm, approximately 2 inches diameter.

The movement is an unsigned 15-17 jewel Swiss made minute repeater with micro seconds chronograph that strikes a series of two coiled gongs.

The movement is fronted by a white enameled dial having Arabic numeral chapter ring inside a closed bar seconds/minute track encircled by another subdivided into fifths of a second with Arabic markers placed 25 fifths of a second around the dial. The gilt hands are rococo style and there is a counterbalanced steel chronograph center seconds pointer.

Probably made by Alfred Lugin who established the Lemania Watch company (Alfred Lugrin), L'Orient, Vallée de Joux, Switzerland, circa 1890-1915.
Measures 3-3/8 inches to the top of the bail, 2-1/4 inches across the buttons.
Very good to fine working condition, the case displays superficial scratches and wear, the dial is fine and shiny, free from chip, crack or repair, the movement is in good working order. Visit our web site to see and hear this watch in action.
