316: A KOCHER/CROTON $20 LIBERTY US GOLD COIN WRIST WATCH

The 1/8th inch thick 18k gold wrist watch case with coined edge mounted by 18k gold lugs is completed by an actual American $20 Liberty double eagle gold coin dated 1904, The hinged front cover is cut from the obverse of an actual coin enclosed by a beaded edge, whereas the complete back retains its original toothed border. The spring-loaded cover is damascened inside as is the case back. A 3/16 inch swing-out watch case marked .750 and stamped with Swiss Helvetia hallmark is further stamped 'S. Kocher Swiss' for Sylvan Kocher & Cie, number 328884.The gold tone dial is marked Croton. Circa 1970.
