The hinged lid inset with a porcelain plaque centering painted portraits of Josephine and Napoleon beneath a gold crown and surrounded by golden bees with wreaths of green enamel highlighting raised gold decoration, the ormolu box frame with embossed bands of anthemion and cornucopia, raised on four toupie feet, stamped mark of FRANCE on the base.
Measures 3.25 x 7.25 x 11.5 inches.
