Meissen "Elements" Ewer, depicting "Fire," circa 1860, crossed swords mark, impressed 310, after the model by J.J. Kandler, globular form with flame color stiff-leaf molded spout, applied handle formed as a fierce dragon, surmounted by a putto holding a flame torch, the waisted neck painted with flowers and chameleons, the body molded in low relief with an erupting volcano amongst a landscape with applied fleeing forest animals flanked by Vulcan with bellows seated on an anvil and Perseus, raised on a molded the foot with overlapping flamed colored leaves and applied with a putto holding a flame torch.

The cherub on handle is intact, original flames, though the cherub body has been over-sprayed. The dragon wings have major restoration and display old, crazed and flaking paint, the right arm and left leg of maiden below the dragon handle have been restored, a tiny chip to the bear's nose, chipped and repaired foliage, restoration to deer's legs, a break and loss to buffalo leg, chip to the snout of the boar, restoration to the arm of the cupid on the base. possible restoration to one dragon ear.
