Cylindrical form depicting a battle scene with attacking lions, hinged lid surmounted by a lion finial with laurel leaf and garland, a primitive bronze strap on the handle and thumb lift on the cover. Unmarked except for an impressed number 39.
Measures 10.75 x 7.25 inches.
Broken and missing tips on some of the leaves on the lid. A chip on the mane of one of the lions on the body. No other chips, cracks or repairs.
