57: A 19TH C. MEISSEN PORCELAIN ALLEGORY OF ASTRONOMY

The porcelain grouping depicting two cherubs playing with a celestial globe and telescope and divider measuring device, wearing pink and blue robes, on a rococo style base, blue underglaze crossed swords mark underside of the base.
Measures 6.75 x 5.5 x 3 inches.
Repair to one cherub's buttocks, other with repaired finger; a broken compass point, broken forefinger on the seated cherub and matching chip on the equator of the globe.
