356: FOLKY PAINTED 1920s FAIRYLAND AMUSEMENT PARK SIGN

A scroll-cut, painted and lettered wood corbel or corner sign, lettered 'THIS IS IT - REAL SPORT' in colors with painted scrolls. At the time of purchase, the seller here understood this to be an artifact from Kansas City's Fairyland Park, an 80-acre amusement park located at 7501 Prospect Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri from 1923 to 1977.
Measures 19 inches high, 14 inches deep.
Very good original condition with alligatored finish.
