Oil on canvas laid to board later, man and woman, painted circa 1830s, the woman wearing blue bow and elaborate lace collar, French wire earrings (set with banded agate?) and a mourning brooch at her neck; the gentleman with black coat, stiff white collar and stern expression.
Each board measures 24 x 20 with a frame of 30.5 x 26.5 inches.
