An oil on board circa 1830, a woman in black dress with shoulders revealed, a red drape behind her right shoulder, unsigned.
Board measures 29.5 x 24, frame is 35 x 29 inches.
Painted on panel, examination under UV light reveals a series of approximately 10 short shallow strokes of in-painting touch-up near the bottom of the subject within the folds of her bodice or dress, no other issues of damage, repair, scratches, rubs or losses.
