A hand carved lava cameo brooch with portraits of Raphael holding an artist's palette and accompanied by La Fornarina (The Baker's Daughter) a.k.a. Margarita Luti, his mistress and model. Inscribed on the back 'Raffaello la Fornarina.'
Measures 2 inches.
Very good condition, free from damage or repair.
