5: A 12-INCH ROOKWOOD VELLUM VASE SIGNED COYNE 1909

The unusual form decorated Japanesque with a frieze of cherry blossom prunus on shaded pink and blue ground encircling the upper portion, interrupted by plain blue ground on the waisted body but resumed in a band around the base, signed with an artist's cipher of 'CSE' for Sally E. Coyne, impressed mark on the base, number 1665 V, date mark 1909.
Measures 12 high by 6.75 inches in diameter wt the widest point.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear.
