14: A TURKISH/OTTOMAN YATAGAN SWORD AND SCABBARD

A fine example of a Turkish/Ottoman style yatagan with forward curving blade, flat back, split 'wing' wood hilt, brass or bronze bolster, etched Arabic characters near the ricasso on both sides, the leather-covered wood scabbard with leather frog, iron ring and buckle, metal throat.
Measures 33 inches in length.
Shows oxidation and wear, average condition. Seems to be a good, honest original fighting weapon.
