215: A GOOD ANTIQUE KUBA CAUCASIAN LONG RUN RUG

The blue field filled with a large long column of five polychrome rectangular interconnected medallions, each enclosing a rectangular medallion with arrowhead vines and surrounded by an amazing amount of small devices of stylized flora and fauna within and surrounding smaller rectangles and squares, the whole framed by an ivory ground border with continuous polychrome linked stylized birds.
Measures 122 x 46.5 inches.
Good to very good condition, uneven wear, intact original edges and wrap with wear and losses, close but intact ends with some loss to one end, no stiff spots, no major satin or odor.
Provenance: The Van Dyke family of Marshall, Missouri, propeitors of a four generation family business specializing in Real Estate, Abstract and Title work.
