The ochre spandrels within larger red corner spandrels enclosing the navy field with elaborate drawing of meandering sinuous vines issuing palmettes, flower heads and leaves surrounding the red and pale ochre central floral medallion trimmed in blue with pendants each end, the whole framed by a polychrome palmette and continuous flowering vine border. This rug has been displayed as a wall hanging work of art, not as a floor covering.
