127: A PAIR 18-INCH KYOTO SATSUMA POTTERY VASES

A pair of Japanese Kyoto pottery vases of slender, ovoid form rising to a sloped shoulder with cylindrical neck and galleried rim, decorated in overglaze enamels and gilding with a continuous band of butterflies in flight amidst flowering peonies and grasses, the shoulder with a formal diaper design, bears decorator's marks to the footrim, circa 1900.
Measures 18 x 6.25 inches.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs.
