The life-sized, two-sheet lithographic poster in multiple colors advertising the Greek tragedy Medee features the actress Sarah Bernhardt, depicted here crazed, having slain one of her multiple victims in the play at Theatre de la Renaissance in Paris 1898, printed by Champenois, the two sheets joined at the mid-way point.
The sheet measures 29.25 x 81.5 inches, frame measures 88.5 x 36.5 inches.
Major restoration throughout, some areas of lost paper professionally restored and backed by archival paper.
