The oil on canvas from Birger Sandzen's most sought-after period, a Colorado Rocky Mountain view signed lower left, titled in pencil by the artist's hand top stretcher verso and dated 1925, first appearance on the market since being acquired directly from the artist in Lindsborg, Kansas.
Canvas measures 20.25 x 24.25 in a 26 x 30 inch frame.
Very good original clean, untouched condition, displayed in non-smoking homes, there are no issues of soiling, scratches, chips, losses, repairs, in-painting or touch-up as confirmed under examination under UV light.
Provenance: Acquired directly from the artist by his student and colleague Wilhelmina Marm, (see Susan Craig, 'Biographical Dictionary of Kansas Artists (active before 1945)'), and descended through her Kansas City family.
