Signed lower right. Always experimenting with abstraction and color, Lewis worked in the 'hard-edge' style of painting the developed in California in the 1960s. In 1967, he was granted a fellowship from the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation of New Mexico where he studied and painted the Southwest landscape.
Canvas measures 32.5 x 42 in a 33.5 x 43.25 inch frame.
Very good original untouched condition. There are no issues of major scratches, losses, repairs, in-painting or touch-up.
