The Miao people headdress of elaborately chased encircling head band of repeating figures on horseback, detailed flowerheads on stems, embroidered red cloth head piece, a band of suspended silver cones, the top corolla of flowers and foliage in the Miao tradition of fine silver work.

Offered here as displayed by the previous owner on a dramatic and interesting Chinese carved wood sculpture with painted detail.
Measures 21 x 11 inches.
Very good condition throughout and as shown. The Miao people hat in fine condition free from damage, loss or repair. The wood carving displays the effects of age and exposure.
