198: JAPANESE KUTANI PORCELAIN BOWL CIRCA 1900

A Japanese Kutani pottery bowl of shallow, circular form decorated in overglaze enamels and gilding with a scene of Nitta no Yoshisada offering his sword to the sea god in gratitude for his victory, his attendants behind him beneath a pine tree, Kutani sei mark underside of the base.
Measures 2.5 x 8.75 inches.
Very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs, scratches or areas of heavy wear.
