244: WWII COAST GUARD AND NAVY MEDAL INSIGNIA GROUPINGS

Data Plate; Portrait photo with frame. Sonarman 1st Class Harry R. Hamilton enlisted in the Coast Guard on 29 October 1942, and trained as a sonar operator. He served on the USS Mankar, USS Northland and USS Nemesis. He was discharged on 16 March 1946. He joined the Navy in 1951. Among his awards are the CG Commendation Medal with one star, and CG Good Conduct Medal. Uniform and duffel bag, Richard Francis Wenke, Aviation Machinist Mate first class, USS Matanikau, USN, Pacific Theatre.
